Franky Coronado: Drums, Percussion

Over a period of more than 25 years, drummer and songwriter Franky Coronado has had the opportunity to play, record, and tour with various artists around the country. Mixing his Cuban heritage with jazz education, he provides a balanced and nuanced percussion and performance approach to all genres of music.

Franky grew up in South Florida surrounded by Latin culture and music. In high school his band director invested in his talent by introducing him to drumming greats like Jim Chapin and Duffy Jackson. College was another season for growth he was exposed to the world of recording and producing music. There he played with award-winning recording artists, Philip Lassiter, Paul Butcher, and Bubba Sparks.

In 2010, Franky relocated to Atlanta, Georgia where he continues to play and record, and shares those experiences with others through education in churches and local music houses.

Cedric Williams: Bass

With 40+ years in the music industry, his love for live performance began at an early age, and lead to a summer internship at the Berklee School of Music in Boston, at 17 years old. This incredible experience performing with such high-level musicians and educators encouraged an even stronger appreciation and passion for music.

During a mentorship program with the First Jazz Combo at The University of Notre Dame, Cedric was awarded “Best Electric Bassist at the Notre Dame Collegiate Jazz Festival.” No small feat. Judges for the Notre Dame Collegiate Jazz Festival included music industry luminaries Hubert Laws, Lew Tabackin and Larry Ridley.

Cedric’s musical influences span many music genres and artists, from classical, jazz, rock, R&B and country.  Through the years he’s enjoyed entertaining audiences with many live performance groups.

When he’s not busy playing with other talented local artists in venues in Metro Atlanta, you’ll find him in his home studio, spending time with family, playing a round of golf, or attending and showing his muscle car at local events.

Ben Cook: Keys, Sax, Flute

As a Graduate of Georgia Institute of Technology, with 20+ years of experience as an Embedded Software Engineer in the Computer Networking Industry, Ben is typically the technical wizard behind any and all aspects of live musical performance he is involved with. His knowledge has proven invaluable in quickly resolving any sound quality related challenges, whether in a House of Worship or other venues.

As a self-taught musician, Ben’s interest in and love for music lead him to become a fluent multi-instrumentalist, moving easily (and frequently) between keyboards, saxophone and flute. This talent is showcased on many songs performed by The Deep End.

Much of Ben’s live performance experience over the past 25+ years has been as a supporting member of various Church Praise & Worship teams, but has often been called upon by musician friends to step in and fill ad hoc needs for other live performance events.  The Deep End is fortunate to have his dedicated talent as part of the team.

John Messerschmidt: Keys, Harmonica, Vocals

Having provided background vocals for recording artist Gino Vannelli, to releasing multiple albums with his bands, “Breakthrough” and “Two By Two,” John is a pro on the music scene.

Through his 20+ years as Sales Manager for Yamaha’s Professional Music Division, he has long-standing professional and personal relationships with superstars in the Music Industry:  Jeff Lorber, The Yellow Jackets, Gino Vannelli, Billy Cobham, Billy Sheehan, Nathan East, Chuck Leavell, Earth Wind and Fire, Billly Payne of Little Feat and many of the industry’s top studio musicians.

His live performance experience includes work in many venues across the country, from the East to West coast, and John also regularly lends his musical expertise to a number of Metro Atlanta churches.

Jeff Webb: Guitar, Vocals

Jeff has performed with multiple bands in hundreds of clubs, events and venues throughout the S.E. United States, with the largest crowd in excess of 30,000 attendees. His musical experience includes sharing the stage with notable recording artists Wet Willie, Stillwater, Marshall Chapman and The Charlie Daniels band, as well as a number of professional studio musicians.

He also gained recognition in Atlanta and Nashville in the 90’s as a songwriter, having been a competition finalist for what was Atlanta’s largest country music radio station at the time, performing several original songs finishing in the top 5 at a televised showcase at the famous Bluebird Café in Nashville.

Aside from live performance, Jeff stays busy recording original instrumental compositions in his studio, and as an active supporting member of several Metro Atlanta contemporary Praise & Worship teams.

Gracie Dial: Vocals

Though fresh on the North Georgia gigging scene, Gracie Dial is no stranger to the stage. Her love of music, and standout vocal talent, propelled her to concert performance with a multitude of choirs and theatrical productions. Formal music education includes a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Musical Theatre from Brenau University in 2021.

A current resident of Atlanta, Gracie currently performs as Queen Luciana in Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament and leads worship at Emmaus Church. Live music event participants will soon be enjoying her talent as she branches out, making her vocal debut with this roster of pro musicians performing as The Deep End.
